Description
Fivemasa has extensive experience in the construction of centrifugal fans, many of which are used in our own facilities to filter contaminants from various industrial processes, and others are specifically designed for each specific sector.
These special requirements for special fans vary, and they may include things like: high temperature resistance, anti-wear and corrosion treatments, minimal dust deposits, etc. Others require complete gas tightness, while others require more compact constructions with higher peripheral speeds and quieter operation.
Types of drive
DIRECT drive. This is the simplest “M-type” design in which the rotor hangs from the motor shaft.
Drive with “K-type” elastic COUPLING. In this design, the impeller is at one end or between bearings on a shaft. The bearings and the drive motor are mounted on a common base.
VR fans are robust and compact. They feature welded construction and are sufficiently reinforced. All its components are amply dimensioned, allowing for safe and long-lasting operation.
All moving parts are protected by removable safety grilles.
Rotation direction
The rotation direction and discharge angle of VR fans are determined by looking at them from the drive side.
Drive with PULLEYS AND BELTS. When the impeller speed does not match the motor speed, it can be adjusted to the design speed using pulleys and belts, and the fan speed can be changed simply by changing the pulleys.
The “R” type has the particularity that the motor is located on the inclined part of the base and powers of up to 45KW are used.
Type “RG” is used for powers greater than 45KW and operating temperatures > 80ºC.
